Vacuumtherapie Rotterdam

What is vacumtherapy and what is it used for?

Vacuum therapy is a treatment for cellulite. It removes the adipocytes that make up the adipose tissue, destroys the orange peel skin and stimulates the blood supply at various levels. It improves the blood flow in the hypodermis, dermis and epidermis layers.

We have already indicated that it is focused on being a first class anti-cellulite treatment, but it also has other associated benefits. So let's take a look at what vacumtherapy is for:

  • It eliminates fat.

  • Eliminates cellulite.

  • Reduces the volume of the contour.

  • It shapes the body.

  • It has exfoliating effects.

  • Provides elasticity to the skin and improves its quality.

  • Relaxes the musculature.

  • Improves rest at night.

  • Complement in pre and post-operative processes.

  • Improves scars.

  • Reduces stretch marks.

  • Increases the tone of the buttocks.

  • Combats stress.

Side effects of vacuum therapy

The suction effect can be a little squeamish for some people. However, the treatment is carried out in a horizontal position, i.e. you are lying relaxed for the duration of a session, but some side effects may occur:

  • Reddening of the skin.

  • Bruising.

  • Slight discomfort after treatment.

In general, all adverse effects disappear after a few hours. However, always discuss them with the aesthetic centre, before starting the treatment and afterwards if they appear.

Contraindications

Although it is a safe dermatological procedure, there are certain groups of people who should avoid using it. If you are one of these people, you may encounter contraindications with vacuum therapy:

If you think you may be pregnant or are looking to become pregnant, it is best to postpone it.
It can modify the level of lipids and sugar in the blood, so it is not advisable for diabetics to use Vacuum suction technologies.
Cancer, during treatment and as long as there is a possibility of having any type of tumour.
Rosacea, scaling and skin infections. Because it works by applying pressure, any type of skin problem is a disadvantage to be able to apply a session.
Avoid sunbathing during the sessions.

How many sessions are necessary to notice benefits

With the vacuum therapy machine and the supletory connected and on your skin, you will receive a massage at the same time as it suctions. The cup-shaped suction device creates a vacuum effect that allows the cellulite to be gradually eliminated. So you will need a few sessions to complete the results.

The average number of sessions is between 10 and 15, although it is possible that from the 8th session onwards you will notice the benefits. If you have a lot of cellulite it will last for several months as you will be coming to the centre at scheduled intervals. If you have a bit of orange peel skin on your buttocks or belly, it is possible that with a few less sessions you will find the results you are looking for. In any case, a personalised assessment is always necessary.

Furthermore, depending on each person, it is possible to combine it with other types of therapies to improve the volume and elasticity of the skin, such as body radiofrequency and also to eliminate stretch marks with microdermabrasion.

Do I have to go on a diet and exercise with Vacuum Therapy?

It is not compulsory but it is highly recommended. It should be borne in mind that by improving your diet and stimulating blood flow through moderate exercise you also encourage more fat to be eliminated. In addition, providing vitamins and minerals improves nutrition which, together with sport, makes the skin more elastic, smoother and accelerates cell regeneration in the deep dermis and all its layers.
