Sciatica or False Sciatica?

Do you suffer from sciatic pain? Have you ever wondered whether it is true or false sciatica?

Often we go to the masseur for low back pain but we do not know the origin, that is why it is very important that the therapist identifies the origin of the pain before doing any manipulation.

The approach and treatment of sciatica and false sciatica is completely different.

There are several health problems that can cause sciatic pain. Sciatica is a very characteristic pain that starts in the buttock area and can go all the way down to the foot.

The most common cause of sciatica is a herniated disc.

In the United States alone there are more than 3 million cases of sciatica annually. Of these, 2.8% are true sciatica caused by a disc problem.

False sciatica is most often caused by a pyramidal syndrome. Piriformis syndrome is a condition in which the piriformis muscle suffers from a contracture or spasm that irritates the sciatic nerve that runs underneath it.

It is important that you select the therapy "Sciatica or Lower Back Pain" from our "Massage Therapy" menu so that we can identify the source of the pain with a few simple steps and proceed to give you the specific massage for the pyramidal syndrome, lower back pain or refer you to the competent professional.
